Tom Lester: Foundation Questions About Life
Is man created or has he reached his present state by evolution?
Is man basically good or basically bad? (Selfish in nature)
Are you a composite of chemical molecules that starts when you are born, stops when you die and nothing lasts after you die? Do you have an eternal soul?
Where do you get your power, wisdom, guidance, security and worth?
Where do you really worship?
Is truth absolute or relative?
Based on your answers to the above questions,
A) Who are you?
B) Why are you here?
C) Where are you going?
From the Bible God answers these questions.
You are a created being made in the image of God with an immortal soul.
God created man in his own image (Genesis 1:27).
You can receive from God His free gift of eternal life by accepting his Son, Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior through His atoning death at calvary for your sin. By so doing, you'll have peace of heart and mind and a real purpose in life by bringing honor and glory to God... ("He that believes on me has everlasting life." John 6:47) ("Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you." John 14:27)
If you accept God's gift, you'll spend eternity with him in heaven ("I go to prepare a place for you and if I go, I will come again and receive you to myself that where I am there you may be also." John 14:1-3). If you reject his free offer you will spent your eternity completely separated from Him. ("He that believes on the Son has everlasting life, but he that believes not, shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him." John 3:36)
The choice is yours.
